Every two hours in the UK someone dies of ovarian cancer. Making sure GPs and the public know what to look for will not only ensure the early detection and treatment of this disease, but transform lives today and for generations to come. NFWI calls on WI members everywhere to help increase awareness of the subtle signs of ovarian cancer.
'A call to increase awareness of the subtle signs of ovarian cancer' was the top resolution selected from the resolution shortlist and has been put forward to the NFWI Annual Meeting in June. We would like to help our members and institutes learn more about this resolution before deciding how to vote after the Annual Meeting. A speaker from Target Ovarian Cancer - the UK's leading ovarian cancer charity - will be talking to us about the resolution at this meeting, we hope you will be able to join us.
